ISTOK MISSION STATEMENT
After working consecutively between Paris and New York, Alek Bimbiloski founded: Istok, in 2008, as a sales and distribution center for the collection “Risto Bimbiloski.” Being in New York, and setting the brand up to become an American vendor was essential in further developing the presence of the line in the American market.
In December 2008, Istok entered into a strategic alliance with Nouveau-PR in order to provide its’ services as a distribution and sales office to most of the existing clients of Nouveau-PR. This union helps build a stronger presence in the corresponding markets, building a bridge between New York and Paris.
Having the opportunity to show in both New York, and Paris, the clientele of Nouveau-PR and Istok benefit from a global sales exposure.
ALEK BIMBILOSKI
Aleksander Bimbiloski was born in 1973, in Macedonia. Always having an interest in American photography, and visual arts, he moved to the United States at the age of 16. To advance his artistic education, he moved back to Europe in the late nineties. After obtaining his masters degree in photography and multimedia from Paris VIII, he had already been working as a photographer for relevant publications, including L’Officiel, Jalouse, and Flaunt.
Having an entrepreneurial spirit, and seeing the talent potential of his brother, Risto, working as a designer, Alek decided to launch Risto’s brand in 1999. Alek then switched his focus from his creative interests and talents to the sales, productions, and merchandising branches of Risto’s newfound label.
From the beginning, the most important and influential retailers were attracted to Risto’s brand. Working in sales, and merchandising for Risto, Alek was able to build an astounding and extremely selective clientele roster worldwide.
Based out of New York for five years, Alek eventually met the founder of Nouveau-PR, Corinna Springer, in 2008. After meeting and working together for Risto, she found him to be the perfect match to open and head the sales division of her then only one-year-old showroom. Nouveau-PR and Istok sales joined forces in December 2008 in order to develop their clientele presence in the corresponding markets through selective public relations and sales strategies.
